## Eligibility Criteria
To apply for these positions, candidates must meet specific educational and age requirements:
Education: Must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or equivalent from a recognized board.

## Exam Pattern & Syllabus
The BSSC selection process is divided into two main objective-type examinations.
### Preliminary Examination (Objective)
The Prelims act as a screening test. The paper consists of 150 questions, each carrying 4 marks, with a total duration of 2 hours and 15 minutes.
General Studies: 50 Questions (Current affairs, History, Geography, Polity).
General Science & Math: 50 Questions (Metric level Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Arithmetic).
Comprehension/Logic/Reasoning: 50 Questions (Analogies, Venn diagrams, Number series, Coding-Decoding).
Note on Marking: There is a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.
